Delivery and Returns
Here at DirectShopfittings, we understand the importance of having the correct business equipment in place when needed. As such, we endeavour to ensure that your orders are despatched without delay.
Wherever possible, we the will despatch the same working day on a “Next Working Day Service” from stock as standard.
If you have any specific delivery requirements, please do get in touch. We pride ourselves on meeting our customers needs.
Delivery charges are calculated on the overall weight of your order and will be illustrated during checkout. We believe this to be the fairest way to calculate delivery costs as this is how our carriers charge us.
Deliveries take place between the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We may charge a redelivery fee if no one is available on site to take delivery of the goods.
Certain items are subject to extra carriage costs direct from the manufacturer. In such cases, you will be contacted before your order is processed. Delivery charges to Islands, Highlands and remote areas are subject to quotation and may take longer. Your order will be held until additional delivery charges have been confirmed and agreed.
A 25% restocking fee of the items value will be charged if delivery fails or if the product is returned and is not faulty. Please note that once an order has been placed and despatched the restocking fee will still apply.
Delivery does not include the removal of old units or disposal of packaging materials (pallet, wrapping etc…).
Collection and disposal of old units can be selected on a number of our products, in such cases where this service has been requested you must ensure that the items have been unplugged, disconnected, emptied and made ready for collection outside of the premises.
Estimated Delivery Times
We do our utmost to ensure that products are delivered to you on time and to the estimated delivery dates illustrated on our website. However, DirectShopfittings is not liable for any delays, howsoever caused.
Please do not book any fitters or installers of the equipment ordered until after the goods have been delivered and inspected by yourself. We will not take any responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of arranging this in advance of delivery.
Delivery Of Large Items
Generally, deliveries will be to kerbside ONLY unless prior arrangements have been made. The delivery person / driver may at his/her discretion assist with delivering the goods to a location within the premises. This is strictly at the customer sole risk.
For large items the chosen delivery address must be accessible by an 18 ton lorry. Delivery services that provide delivery into the premises it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the equipment will fit through any doors ways etc. Failure to disclose such information may result in extra costs being incurred by a failed/aborted delivery.
When a product is delivered to you, the first thing you must do is inspect the goods for any damage.
Failure to check the goods and document any damage with the driver will result in a claim for damage being rejected.
Signing ‘unexamined’ is not acceptable. In the event that the driver will not wait for you to inspect the goods, please sign for as ‘Damaged’.
Once signed as damaged, you must report the damage in writing within 24 hours to make a claim.
Bespoke & Special Orders
When customised or bespoke goods are ordered we are unable to accept ANY returns. You are responsible for ordering suitable goods for your requirements. If however the goods are damaged, you may be able to make a claim against the manufacturer or supplier if you have inspected and signed the goods as damaged upon delivery.
No claims against damage will be accepted if you have signed for goods without indicating any damage.
Goods are not sold on a trial basis. Customers should check specifications and suitability before ordering.
DirectShopfittings does not warrant the suitability of goods for specific applications.
Goods supplied to you by special order, that are not listed in our catalogue or website may not be returned unless they are faulty or damaged on delivery.
Goods which have been incorrectly ordered or are unsuitable will only be accepted for return with prior approval from DirectShopfittings
Returned goods will only be accepted within 14 days of delivery if they are correctly packed in the original packaging, with original manuals and have not been used. A restocking charge of 25% will be levied on all such goods.
Goods may not be returned without prior authorisation and a Goods Return Authorisation number from DirectShopfittings.
Customers are responsible for returning goods, ensuring returned goods are suitably packed and obtaining necessary proof of delivery and receipt.
